A Daisy
We have a Winter Storm Warning that begins overnight (on March 21!) and ends Saturday morning, we should expect eight inches of snow.
I do hate snow, but I know it won't last very long since our temperatures have been above freezing. And, I feel optimistic because my friend Christy sent me these wonderful daisies mixed with gerbera daisies, which are my favorite. They are by my bed and they remind me of spring and they remind me of good friends and all of the wonderful flowers, gifts and cards people have sent these past few weeks that make us feel remembered and loved.
It comforts me knowing that snow will not last long, but friendships will.
Thank you, Christy.

Glad you liked them. I thought they would brighten your day. :)

I may have brought upon this storm. Not only did I put away my heavy quilted winter coat, but I also got out my spring purse.....

They are beautiful. And are you REALLY sure about the weather forecast? I haven't dared to turn on the weather channel yet!

I have been praying for you and your precious family for weeks now. I lost two wee ones before we had our two blessings. I know being able to identify with others who have experienced the same thing as you is very important...so I leave this link to a family in New Zealand who just lost their 67 day old son. The catch is - they knew his time was limited from the beginning. His name is Joshua and I think you may find some kind of solace in knowing you are not alone in your grief of losing a son(s). God bless you. May He continue to shine His light down upon you and your family. There is light at the end of the tunnel. There is. One day you'll realize you might just see a pinpoint far far away and then the next week it will seem a little bigger and the next week...

Dear Beth,
Daisies represent loyal love... how perfect that you received them from a wonderful friend. And snow? How can this be? But I always think of snow, especially spring snow, as a blanket to warm the earth once more. And once that snow is melted, the earth is warm and moist and pushing up the delightful first sprouts!
Enjoy your inside daisies and imagine the outside ones to come!
Much love,
Sharon

Those are some beautiful pictures of some beautiful flowers and what a thoughtful friend.
This supposed snow better not delay my hubby's flight home. Agh!

Holy professional pictures, batman! Not only are you an AMAZING writer, but your pictures are ridiculous! I need those framed for my basement, STAT!
I think you're right; the snow will melt quickly and that will remind everyone that spring really is around the corner.

I can never look at daisies without thinking of Meg Ryan's character in You've Got Mail.
"I love daisies. Don't you think daisies are the friendliest flower?"
Indeed, I think they are.
Hugs -
Megan

I started following your blog because of Christy and Tracey, who both happen to be good friends of mine. They are keepers, that's for sure.
My heart aches for the pain you are experiencing. But hopefully, having good friends and family remind you (and your babies) how loved you are.

Beautiful flowers...and kinda remind me of the snow with little glimpse of spring coming through. Let's hope anyway. So tired of snow. GRRR
